This bar was designed for those who wanted to perform bench presses but experienced pain in their shoulders when doing so. As a result, we investigated various hand positions to see if that would reduce or eliminate the shoulder pain. What we found is that perpendicular handles can help. We applied the findings to the design of our bar. In addition, to accommodate users of different sizes, we added more handles to the bar. Those who have used this bar rave about its effectiveness and ease of shoulder and wrist pain during use.
